Use with Epoxy Resin
Customers should test UV resin with their mold before use, as different UV resin formulas may yield varying results. To achieve the best outcome, we recommend the following:
Tip 1: When using UV resin, pour only half of the mold first and cure it. Then, pour the remaining resin to fill the mold and cure it again until it is completely dry on both the front and back. This method helps reduce air bubbles and prevents deformation of the piece.
Tip 2: Position the UV lamp slightly away from the mold to reduce heat buildup, which can cause warping or marks on the resin.
Tip 3: If you have two UV lamps, place one underneath with a clear acrylic sheet or thick transparent plastic on top. Then, place the mold on the sheet and cover it with the second UV lamp. Curing from both top and bottom simultaneously helps ensure even curing, reducing warping and wrinkles caused by UV exposure.
Some UV resin brands may allow you to pour the full mold and cure it normally without any issues. The results will depend on the specific resin formula used.
